The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Carl Rogers

In Jessica's words

Painful life experiences and unhealthy family dynamics can leave you feeling lonely, misunderstood, and unappreciated. These moments do more than just hurt; they shape how you view the world and yourself. When you’re carrying that weight, life can feel bleak and overwhelming.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. Using a person-centered approach, I establish a collaborative partnership designed to help you rediscover and appreciate your authentic self. My goal is to provide the support you need to peel back the layers of these experiences and find your voice again.

In our work together, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that fosters self-discovery and radical self-acceptance. We will work as a team to move past the obstacles holding you back, allowing you to embrace your true self and live more fully.

Training and experience

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with a Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. My clinical training was centered on trauma-informed care, and I have extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults navigating depression, anxiety, and perinatal mental health challenges.

My path to counseling is rooted in a deep-seated commitment to healing. With 14 years of experience as a pharmacist, I am uniquely positioned to understand the intersection of physical health and mental well-being. I am passionate about shifting my focus from pharmacological interventions to holistic mental health advocacy, helping clients find healing through connection and self-understanding.

What Jessica works with

More than the work

  • I meet monthly with my book club to explore new stories and enjoy deep conversations with friends.
  • My favorite way to recharge is spending time with my husband, daughter and our two dogs.
  • I grew up in El Paso, Texas, a city deeply rooted in Mexican culture and desert beauty. Being from the borderland shaped my worldview and gave me a deep appreciation for tradition, community, and resilience. Even though I’ve moved on to new landscapes, I carry that Sun City warmth and the vibrant spirit of the Southwest with me.
