“Challenging the meaning of life is the truest expression of the state of being human” - Viktor Frankl

If you’ve landed here, chances are—you’re carrying a lot.

Maybe you know something in your life isn’t working, but you feel stuck in patterns that are hard to break. Many of us developed coping strategies early on that once helped us survive, but now as adults, those strategies are ineffective or even harmful. Despite recognizing that we could benefit from talking to a therapist, we might be nervous or conflicted about seeking therapy (totally normal by the way!).

But here’s the truth: We weren’t meant to live life alone. There’s no shame in asking for support. In fact, it’s a powerful act of courage. Whether you're here to explore old wounds, reconnect with yourself, or simply breathe a little easier, therapy can offer a safe, supportive space to do that.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and multicultural. I draw from a toolbox of Existential theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), to best meet your needs. I strive to be inclusive, intersectional, and affirming, viewing you as a whole person living within broader systems—social, political, cultural, and geographical. You are the expert on your life; I’m here to support and empower you to live your life in a way that feels authentic and aligned. This also means that I think therapy should be a place for you to come as you are, so that we can do the most meaningful work. Clients often describe me as calming, supportive, and nonjudgmental—with a good sense of humor when it’s needed, and a strong sense of advocacy when it counts.

Experience

I am a Licensed Porfessional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Bonnie King, Ph.D., LPC-S, CSC. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from DePaul University. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan in both community mental health and healthcare settings. My background includes counseling children and teens in school and after-school programs, teaching parenting classes, and providing individual therapy for adolescents and adults. I also spent a decade in the healthcare field supporting patients through emotionally complex medical experiences—including reconstructive procedures, gender-affirming care, and major life transitions—which continues to inform my trauma-informed and inclusive approach.

Fun Facts About Me:

1. I began training and competing in powerlifting in 2019. I started as a way to get stronger, but I found that I really benefit from this form of proprioceptive input as a way to calm and regulate my nervous system.

2. I’m a bookworm - you can find me reading fantasy and dystopian fiction when I’m not reading psychology books.

3. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to DFW in 2020 - I’m a Midwestern at heart!
